Custom tours require a non-refundable deposit of $500 per person. Full deposit minus $50 per person will be refunded if we are unable to confirm your itinerary to your satisfaction. Please note that changes to an itinerary after deposit will be subject to $75 per revision, plus any expenses imposed by suppliers as a result of these changes.
Full payment is due 65 days prior to trip departure. If the reservation is made within 65 days of departure, the entire tour price must be paid at the time of confirmation. Bookings received 35 days or less prior to departure will incur a $50 last-minute booking fee. If requested services cannot be confirmed, all monies minus $50 per person will be refunded. If services are confirmed, all applicable cancellation penalties will apply thereafter.
Our prices reflect a 3.5% discount for purchases made with cash or checks. There are no discounts for sales made by credit card. Prices are based upon shared twin room occupancy. Returned checks are subject to a $30 fee. Please note that in case of human or computer error, Wayfare reserves the right to re-invoice for the correct price or service. A full refund will be made to passengers who choose not to pay an increase, provided Wayfare receives a written cancellation within three days of the price increase notification.
Any invoice less than $500 will be subject to a $50 processing fee.
Passengers are responsible to ensure that the names printed on the invoice exactly match their passport names. Name changes must be advised in writing and are subject to airline penalties and Wayfare $50 revision fee per change. Denial of services by a carrier due to any name discrepancy will be at the responsibility of passenger.
The tour must be paid in full before any final documents can be released. Final documents will be mailed 14 days prior to departure provided that full payment (cleared check or approved credit card) is received at least 65 days prior to departure.
The cost of any changes or additions will be at the local rate at the time of the amendment and must be borne by the passenger.
Wayfare strongly recommends travel insurance to protect you and your investment in the event of a sudden emergency before or during your trip. This plan, underwritten by Travel Guard Insurance, offers coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, illness, injury, and damage, loss or theft of baggage, as well as emergency assistance.
If you cancel a tour 60 days prior to departure, we will refund you 100% of the total tour payment minus the deposit. If you decide to cancel a tour within 30 to 60 days of departure, we will refund you 75% of the total tour payment. If you decide to cancel within 15 to 30 days of departure, we will refund you 50% of the total tour payment. If you decide to cancel within 15 days of departure, there will be no refunds. Unless otherwise stated, airline tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-transferable. No refund will be made for any unused ground services, hotel accommodations, excursions, or missed meals when they are included in the price of the tour. Also, no refunds can be made on lost, mislaid, or destroyed travels tickets or vouchers.
All requests for refunds or adjustments must be made in writing and received no later than 30 days after the return of the tour. Refunds are subject to any hotel and/or supplier charges incurred. Claims for unused services must be substantiated in writing by local representatives. Processing will take from six to eight weeks from the date Wayfare receives relevant documents. There will be no refunds for unused services, including missed transfers, due to airline changes and/or missed flights. Wayfare is not obliged to guarantee promises (written or verbal) made by local hotel staff, tour guides, or any other persons not under direct employ of Wayfare.
All taxes and services charges levied by the hotel are included in your tour cost. Accommodations included are based on two persons sharing a run of the house twin or double bed room. Single room surcharge applies to those requiring their own room. For those who request upgraded accommodations, additional costs over and above the tour cost will apply. Please note, conditions and use of air-conditioning abroad differs greatly from the United States.
Our tours feature daily breakfast included as part of your package. Some day tours, as indicated, may include lunch or dinner. Meals are based on the hotel's or restaurant's buffet or set menu. In general, beverages are not included (although there are some exceptions). Voluntary non-usage of meal coupons is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Sightseeing will be operated by private car or group motor-vehicle. Wayfare tours have been designed to accommodate individuals as well as groups. Please refer to each specific tour on your itinerary to see if you are on a group or private tour. On group tours, we cannot guarantee the number of passengers who will be on any given tour. You may find that you are traveling with a sizeable group or only with your own companions. Also on larger group tours, the tour may be conducted in a second foreign language in addition to English. Services, however, will remain constant no matter the number of tour participants. On dates including, but not limited to religious holidays and national celebrations, some monuments and sites may be closed. On these occasions, touring itineraries may be amended to reflect these closures.
Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper travel documents and MUST CHECK with the respective consulate(s) or visa agency to determine whether any visas are required. Any information provided by Wayfare pertains to U.S. citizens only. Passports are required for all international travel.
All tours allow one piece of luggage and one carry-on bag per person. Excess luggage will be subject to charge of up to $100 per piece. The Travel Agent and/or Tour Operator, Wayfare, shall not be held responsible for any damage to or loss of luggage/personal items. All damage/loss must be reported at time of incident and documented in writing by local authorities for submission to the insurance company
Driver (Provides chauffeur services and limited assistance with luggage): $2 per person per day
Local Group Guide (Offers in-depth information at specific locations. There may be one or many guides along a tour program): $3 per person per half day of sightseeing.
River Cruises: $3 per person per day.
Private Guide: $7 to $10 per person per day for each day of sightseeing.
No refunds will be made for any unused ground services, hotel accommodations, excursions, or missed meals when they are included in the price of the tour. Also, no refunds can be made on lost, mislaid, or destroyed travels tickets or vouchers.
Our tour schedules and hotel reservations are contingent on the situations of the local area they are operated in. In case of certain unforeseen events, such as bad weather conditions, over-booking and closure of hotels, riot, decisions by local government, or closure of historical sights by the Department of Tourism, we will reserve the right to alter the scheduled itinerary accordingly. We will make all possible efforts to provide you with an alternative of equal interest, however, we will not be able liable for any compensatory payments in such cases.
In circumstances beyond our control, the duration of time spent in a particular city might have to be curtailed, or even omitted altogether. In such an event, best possible alternative arrangements will be sought, however no compensation will be paid.
Participants agree not to hold Wayfare liable for, or responsible for any loss, injury or damage to any person, property or otherwise in connection with any accommodations, transportation or resulting from any acts of God, fire, breakdowns in machinery or equipment, acts of government or authorities, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemic, medical or custom regulations, defaults, delays, cancellations, lost baggage, or any causes beyond the control of Wayfare, or for any loss or damage resulted from improperly issued visas or documents, and that Wayfare or its staff will not be responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained for or incurred by the tour participant as a result of any of the foregoing clauses.

COOKIES
Wayfare does place a feature on your web browser called a "cookie" to assign each member a unique number. By giving each customer a unique number, it allows Wayfare to track the items in their Travel Planner and to save past purchase information. This will enhance your experience by saving your Travel Planner information for the next time that you visit a Wayfare site and by allowing you to view your old orders. Cookies do not allow Wayfare to collect any additional information other than the information that was provided by the member at the time of registration.
